Autodesk, the makers of AutoCAD and 3ds Max, are sponsoring a Spy Gadget Design Contest (entry details here). Your very own "dream spy gadget" needn't be buildable, and can be "inventive, humorous or just plain intriguing."

The prize for Most Creative Design will be, ironically, a Microsoft Zune, which is kind of like giving a poncho to somebody for winning a fashion contest.

Anyways, while I'm certainly eager to see what you designers come up with, I highly doubt you'll be able to top the real spy gadgets currently in use by the U.S. Government. For example, Karl Rove has this really cool device--it enables you to leak the name of covert CIA operatives, but then you push a button and Scooter Libby gets indicted. Fresh!
